A Palestinian citizen demolished his own home on Monday in the town of Umm Tuba, south of occupied Jerusalem. The army demolished a citizen’s home in the Salfit governorate, and delivered stop-work orders to dozens of homes and facilities in Bethlehem and Jenin.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the citizen Ali Khalil Abu Teir was compelled to demolish his family home in the town of Umm Tuba, south of occupied Jerusalem.
It added that Abu Teir destroyed his home, which sheltered a family of seven, under the threat of a 80,000 shekel fine if the army carried out the demolition.
Meanwhile, occupation forces demolished the remaining foundation of a citizen’s home in the town of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that several Israeli municipality crews stormed the area surrounding the home of Mohammad al-Shamaliyah and his son Khaled.
Occupation bulldozers razed the foundation of the home to complete the demolition process, which was ordered under the pretext of building without a permit.
Furthermore, Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian-owned house in the town of Kafr ad-Deek, west of Salfit in the central West Bank.
Media sources reported that occupation forces stormed the town, accompanied by three bulldozers, and surrounded the home of the citizen Amir Mahmoud Naji, and forced his family to evacuate.
The army proceeded to demolish the two story home which measured 180 square meters, under the pretext of being located in “Area C”.
In related news, Israeli forces handed out stop-work notices and land evacuation notices in the village of Deir Abu Da’if, east of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
Member of the Deir Abu Da’if village council, Hatem Rawajbeh told the WAFA News Agency that the army handed 10 stop-work notices to residents, in addition to delivering orders to evacuate agricultural lands.
In the southern part of the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces delivered demolition and stop-work orders to citizens in the town of Al-Khader, west of Bethlehem.
Demolition orders were issued to two inhabited homes, while at least 19 citizens received stop-work orders to their homes and commercial establishments, under the pretext of building without a permit.
