Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers began, just a few days earlier, the establishment of a new colonialist outpost on stolen Palestinian lands in the Al-Boqei’a Meadow in the Northern Plains of the Jordan Valey in the occupied West Bank.
Mo’taz Bisharat, a Palestinian official in charge of Israeli illegal colonies’ file at the Palestinian Authority In Tubas, said the colonizers invaded Palestinian lands in the eastern area of Al-Boqei’a a week earlier installed a small barn before bringing cows and began infrastructure work.
Bisharat added that, on Monday, the colonizers installed three barns and established a colonialist outpost on the stolen Palestinian lands.
The illegally annexed lands are about 1800 dunams privately owned by Palestinians from Tammoun town.
The colonizers also assaulted many Palestinian shepherds, wounding at least one in the head, and forced them out of grazing areas.
Over the past ten years, the colonizers installed more than five outposts in the Northern Plains to control grazing lands for their livestock after forcing the Palestinians out of the area.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
