One Palestinian fighter has been killed and another taken prisoner after they killed an israeli soldier in the Israeli settlement of Beqa’ot near the West Bank town of Tubas Saturday at noon.

The shooting took place at around 12:30 when a Palestinian carrying a gun entered the settlement and shot opened fire at the soldier who was in the area. 

The soldier sustained serious wounds however, he died on the spot later, Israeli sources reported.

Apparently, two Palestinians carried out this attack and used a car to flee from the area, however the Israeli army spotted the car and chased it.  Troops opened fire at the car killed one and took the other prisoner.

The names of the two Palestinians remain unknown, and no Palestinian resistance groups has claimed responsibility for the attack.
