West Bank Palestinian citizens have suffered more attacks by colonizers this Monday, some with Israeli occupation forces providing protection to the aggressors and detaining civilians.
Masafer Yatta
South of Hebron, the Masafer Yatta community experienced more attacks by nearby Israeli colonists residing illegally on citizens’ lands. Reported by Wafa News Agency and the International Solidarity Movement.
Colonizers from the Karmeil colony focused their attack on several Palestinian homes and in the Um al-Khair village in Masafer Yatta. The Hathaleen family was particularly affected, as colonists threatened to kill them and prevented their egress from the situation. Israeli occupation forces were in the vicinity reportedly protected the colonizers as they intimidated the residents. Wafa News Agency reports. Family members told ISM reporters that Mohammad Hathaleen, who incurred serious brain trauma 23 years ago at the hand of Israeli colonizers was accused by the aggressors of walking too close to the Karmeil settlement fence. The relative added that the man is not aware of his surroundings.
Several colonists from the also illegal Beni Hefer settlement attacked and threatened Palestinian shepherds with death.
Colonists from illegal settlement Susiya also engaged in attacks on Palestinians, smashing the windows of a car belonging to two youths. The two youths were treated at the scene for bruising and lacerations resulting from the attack. Wafa News Agency reports.
In another attack against the citizens of Masafer Yatta, local sources told Wafa News Agency that colonizers discharged live ammunition at vehicles belonging to citizens in the Shaab Al-Batn. A vehicle was reportedly hit by several bulges but non of the passengers injured.
Sources included that two youth were assaulted by colonizers on their way home. They suffered wounding and bruises.
The sources drew attention while speaking to WAFA their anxiety that these shooting attacks, home demolitions and the harassment of shepherds may escalate to new massacres.
Near the village of Burqa
Murad Nasser, a Palestinian resident, is dealing with a shattered windshield after Israeli colonizers threw a stone at his vehicle while driving on the main road near the village of Burqa. Nasser reported to WAFA that he came across a vehicle with an Israeli license plate and then noticed several Israeli settlers who proceeded to break his window by throwing a rock at it. Nasser, fearing for his safety, left the area and continued driving to his destination despite the rain coming in through the broken windshield.
Near Nablus
Palestinian olive farmers were attacked today by Israeli colonizers while harvesting on their lands northwest of Nablus in Burqa village. Sources reported to Wafa News agency that the family of Mazen Daghlas was attacked and their olive harvest and phones stolen by the colonizers before local village residents fended off the aggressors.
Near Salfit
Colonists protected by Israeli occupation forces attacked the area of Ezbet Mughr Tawfiqin northwest of the city of Salfit in the occupied West Bank.
Activist Nazem Al Salman reported to Wafa News Agency that Youssef Al-Salman, an elderly Palestinian man was attacked along with his family in the Al-Izba area to the north. Israeli occupation forces came with the colonizers and abducted his sons Ghassan, Mohammad and Hammam.
