On Wednesday evening, Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian child in Ya’bad town, southwest of Jenin in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, bringing the number of slain Palestinians in the West Bank in one day to five, including two children.
The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that the soldiers killed Omar Mahmoud Sadeq Abu Bakr, 16, after shooting him with a live round in the chest.
The child was killed after many Israeli military vehicles invaded the town, leading to protests before the soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that, after shooting the child, the soldiers prevented the medics from reaching him as he continued to bleed heavily.
The medics were later able to reach Omar, provided essential first aid while rushing him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The PRCS added that the soldiers shot three Palestinians with live fire and caused many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in the town.
On Wednesday morning, Israeli soldiers killed a child and a young man and injured eleven Palestinians in the Al-Far’a refugee camp and Tammoun town, south of Tubas in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
The slain Palestinians have been identified as Moath Ibrahim Zahran, 23, from the Al-Far’a refugee camp, and Abdul-Rahman Khaled Bani Odah, 16, from Tammoun.
On Wednesday afternoon, Palestinian medical sources confirmed the death of Abdul-Nasser Mustafa Riyahi, 24, who succumbed to serious wounds he suffered when the Israeli army invaded the Balata refugee camp north of the northern West Bank city of Nablus at dawn.
In addition, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death of a Palestinian man who succumbed to serious wounds he suffered a week earlier after an Israeli drone fired a rocket during an invasion in Tulkarem, in the northwestern part of the West Bank.
The Health Ministry said the young man, Ahmad Nathmi Ghanem, 30, suffered very serious wounds when an Israeli military drone fired a rocket at several Palestinians before the soldiers invaded the area.
Israeli soldiers and paramilitary colonizers have killed 473 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of this year, including 265 since October 7.
In the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Israeli missiles and shells killed more than 16248 Palestinians, including 7112 children and 4885 women, and injured more than 43000 since October 7.
