Israel has now killed at least 18.884 Palestinians and injured more than 55.000 in the Gaza Strip since October 7; %70 of the casualties are women and children.

Israel’s missiles and shells killed, Friday, hundreds of Palestinians and injured a large number of residents in several parts of the Gaza Strip as the army continued the bombing and the firing of dozens of missiles at homes and buildings.

The Israeli army and the Air Force fired many missiles and shells at dozens of homes and buildings in several parts of the Gaza Strip, especially in Gaza City, Deir Al-Balah and Nusseirat in central Gaza, and in Jabalia, in the northern part of the coastal regions, leading to dozens of casualties.

Medical sources said at least fifteen Palestinians were killed and dozens were injured in the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City, after Israeli drones fired missiles and live rounds at the Palestinians, including children and women.

The Israeli army also fired artillery shells at six homes in the Zeitoun neighborhood, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, in addition to firing dozens of shells and missiles at homes and buildings in the area.

Medics tried to rush to the area and evacuate the slain and wounded Palestinians, but the army targeted them with shells and live rounds.

In the Sheja’eyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, the army fired missiles at the Street Vendors Market and dozens of homes, killing nine Palestinians and wounding at least 25.

In the Daraj neighborhood in Gaza, Israeli artillery shells struck, for the second time, the Fahmi Al-Jarjawi School, where families sheltered, killing four Palestinians and wounding nine, mostly children.

In the Nasr and Sheikh Radwan areas, north of Gaza City, the Israeli missiles killed and injured dozens of Palestinians after firing missiles and shells at their homes.

In the Palestine Mosque Square, also in Gaza City, the soldiers fatally shot at least five Palestinians, including an elderly man, and abducted more than fifteen.

In the Sahaba area in Gaza City, the army fired missiles and tanks shells at many homes, killing twenty Palestinians and wounding dozens, before the soldiers stormed the area and abducted 25 Palestinians between the ages of 15-55.

Furthermore, the army fired a missile at a home for the Abu Nasr family in the western area of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, killing four Palestinians, including two children, and wounding many others.

The Israeli missiles also killed and injured dozens of Palestinians in several parts of Khan Younis; many remain under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings.

At least twelve Palestinians were killed, and dozens were injured when the army fired shells at a school in Khan Younis that houses dozens of families who fled their homes from several parts of northern and central Gaza.

In Rafah, in southern Gaza, the army fired many missiles at a residential bloc near the Kuwaiti Hospital, and several surrounding areas, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, including many who were moved to Abu Yousef Najjar Hospital in the city.

In addition, the soldiers fired missiles at a mosque near the makeshift clinic in Jabalia, killing and wounding many Palestinians.

The Health Ministry said it had to bury more than 100 slain Palestinians in Jabalia Market after taking their corpses out of Kamal Adwan Hospital despite the presence of Israeli tanks and the threats to bomb them.

The Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia remains fully surrounded and isolated by Israeli tanks and soldiers, confining 250 physicians, nurses, patients, and their family members within its wall, in addition to two doctors whom the soldiers fatally shot.

The Health Ministry said the soldiers fatally shot four Palestinians while trying to leave the Al-Awda Hospital.

The head of the Health Department in Gaza said Israeli soldiers invaded Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, forced all hospital staff and patients to leave the medical facility and wait in its yards despite the cold weather before destroying its electricity generators and abducting five patients.

It added that twelve pre-mature babies are in incubators and, without electricity and basic medical supplies and food, face imminent death.

The Health Ministry said only 11 out of 35 hospitals are still operational in the Gaza Strip but are only able to provide some basic and limited services to patients and wounded Palestinians; only one of the hospitals is still running in northern Gaza, despite depleted supplies.

Two main hospitals in Gaza are dealing with patients and wounded Palestinians in capacities that exceed their means by %206, and 250% in Intensive Care. The hospitals are also trying to provide some services to the thousands of displaced Palestinians due to Israel’s bombing of the coastal region.

The number of internally displaced Palestinians in Gaza is now at least 1.9 million Palestinians (%90 of the entire population of the Gaza Strip); 1.2 million of them are in 154 facilities run by the UNRWA in various parts of the Gaza Strip, including 1 million in UNRWA facilities in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli missiles and shells have damaged or destroyed about 280.000 buildings, including homes and residential buildings, media centers, public buildings, government officers and buildings, private buildings, companies, and factories.

On Friday morning, the Israeli army said one of its soldiers of the Golani Brigade Engineering Battalion and two officers and soldiers were killed in southern Gaza.

Abu Obeida, the spokesperson of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said the group’s fighters “killed 36 Israeli soldiers and injured dozens, in addition to destroying 72 Israeli tanks and armored vehicles in the last 72 hours.”

Abu Obeida added that “the fighters managed to obtain weapons and gear from the destroyed military vehicles and exchanged fire with battalions that rushed to help them.”

Due to the very large numbers of slain Palestinians and the ongoing Israeli bombing and shelling, the Palestinians resorted to burying the dead in mass graves in hospital yards and even in destroyed markets, including in Jabalia, in northern Gaza.

Israel has now killed at least 18.884 Palestinians and injured more than 55.000 in the Gaza Strip since October 7; %70 of the casualties are women and children.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the Israeli army killed 300 health workers, 32 Civil Defense and Rescue workers, 86 journalists, and 135 Palestinians who work for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
