Israeli forces invaded, on Wednesday, the northern West Bank city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp, in addition to many towns and villages in the governorate, shooting one Palestinian and abducting five, including a wounded former prisoner.

During the 11-hour-long aggression against the city of Jenin and its refugee camp in the northern West Bank, after during the predawn hours of Wednesday, Israeli forces abducted three young men.

Occupation forces invaded and searched many homes and abducted Mahmoud Al-Bitawi from the Jenin refugee camp.

Southwest of the city, the army invaded the village of Ash-Shuhada, stormed and searched the homes of Thaer Hussein Asous and Mustafa Muhannad Mar’i before abducting them.

On Wednesday afternoon, Israeli soldiers invaded the town of Tura Al-Gharbiya, west of Jenin and stormed and searched many homes, and interrogated residents, while an infantry unit roamed the streets.

Media sources said that the army stormed several towns and villages in the Jenin governorate, erected flying military roadblocks while stopping and searching vehicles and inspecting the identities of their occupants.

In the evening, the army abducted the wounded former prison, Ibrahim Abdel Rahim Jaber Abu Bakr after occupation authorities summoned him for investigation at the Salem Military Camp, northwest of Jenin.

Meanwhile, the army stormed Ya’bad town west of Jenin, invaded several neighborhoods and positioned sharpshooters on rooftops, which triggered protests.


Soldiers fired live rounds and concussion grenades at those who resisted the incursion, shooting a young man in the back with live ammunition; he was transported to hospital where his wound was deemed moderate.

During the invasion the army removed the doors of commercial shops, invaded and ransacked them.


Furthermore, occupation forces stormed Jalboun village east of the city, and also abducted Mutasim Nasrallah, a citizen of Jenin when he tried to pass through a flying military roadblock near the village of Al Mansura southwest of the city.
