As Israel’s genocidal war on the Palestinians in the devastated Gaza Strip entered its 158th day, the Israeli army continued the indiscriminate bombing of various parts of the coastal region and the firing of live fire at awaiting aid trucks, killing and wounding dozens, including many children.

In Gaza City, the army injured many Palestinians, including children, after bombing their home, in the center of the Zeitoun neighborhood.

The Israeli army continued the massive bombing of various parts of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, in addition to wiring and detonating many homes and residential blocs.

Media sources said that, on the second day of Ramadan, the army targeted hundreds of Palestinians awaiting humanitarian aid at the Kuwait Junction in Gaza City, killing at least nine and wounding dozens.

In addition, Al-Jazeera said that eleven Palestinians were found dead under the rubble of a bombarded home in Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, in addition to many injured Palestinians in the Saudi neighborhood.

The Palestinians, with basic handheld tools, are still trying to remove the rubble and look for slain Palestinians or potential survivors under the rubble.

Al-Jazeera added that the army also fired barrages of missiles and shells at homes and buildings in Hamad City, north of Khan Younis, causing many casualties.

In Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza, many Israeli tanks and armored vehicles invaded the eastern areas while firing shells and live rounds at homes and buildings, especially in the eastern parts of the city.

Earlier, Israeli war jets fired missiles at homes for the Abu Sinjer and Al-Yazouri, south of Deir Al-Balah, killing more than eight Palestinians and wounding dozens, including children, while the search continues under the rubble for dozens of Palestinians in the bombed homes, as each home was four floors.

Among the slain Palestinains are from the Al-Atrash family that was obliterated after Israeli warplanes bombed their home in Deir Al-Balah City, killing seven, including four children.

The army also fired many shells and missiles, east of the Al-Boreij refugee camp, Al-Musaddar area, and Juhr Ed-Deek near Deir Al-Balah, killing and wounding many Palestinians.

In addition, the army bombarded homes and building in Rafah, in the southmost part of the Gaza Strip, causing several casualties.

The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, said it detonated a wired tunnel when a group of soldiers entered it and detonated explosives in a home after a group of seven members of the Israeli special forces invaded it, east and northeast of Al-Qarara, killing and wounding many soldiers.

The Health Ministry said the army committed eight massacres against families, killing 72 Palestinians, and wounding 129, mostly women and children.

It added that three Palestinains, including two babies, died from malnutrition and dehydration in the Gaza Strip, bringing the number of Palestinians who died due to similar causes to 27, including many children and infants.

The United Nations said that while it welcomes the entry of aid into Gaza, including the American naval port, the fact remains that there are no real alternatives to allowing humanitarian aid, including medicine and food, through the Rafah border terminal in Egypt.

The UNRWA said the situation in the Gaza Strip is disastrous and becomes worse by the minute.

Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of @UNRWA said on X: “Staggering. The number of children reported killed in just over 4 months in #Gaza is higher than the number of children killed in 4 years of wars around the world combined. This war is a war on children. It is a war on their childhood and their future.”

British Foreign Minister David Cameron said the UK is working with allies to operate the naval port, but added that this port should not be a replacement for allowing aid by land as border terminals are the fastest way to allow aid into Gaza, including the northern parts.

He added that Israel must lift all restrictions it imposed on the entry of aid, and must ensure Gazans have the needed electricity and water, and also called on Tel Aviv to grant permits to UN officials to enter Gaza to help in the distribution of humanitarian aid.

Israel has now killed at least 31.184, including at least 12.300 children and babies, and injured 72.889, mainly women, children, and elders in several parts of the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.

The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that there are thousands of Palestinians under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, and many were killed on streets, intersections, and alleys, while medics and rescue teams remain unable to reach them due to massive destruction and ongoing bombings targeting various parts of the devastated and destroyed coastal enclave.
