Israeli Drone Strike Injures Four, Including A Paramedic, In Tulkarem

On Monday night, four Palestinians, including a paramedic, were injured when the Israeli army fired a missile from a drone at an area in the Tulkarem refugee camp, in Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources and eyewitnesses said the Israeli military drones fired a missile at a site in the Al-Hamam neighborhood in Tulkarem Camp, leading to many injuries, including a volunteer paramedic who was hit by shrapnel in the face.

The sources added that volunteer paramedics working inside the camp managed to reach the injured and provide first aid, describing their injuries as mild.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that one of its paramedics was injured in the Israeli bombing.

In addition, the soldiers prevented Palestinian ambulances from entering the refugee camp and hindered their movement by stopping, searching, and checking the ID cards of those inside, including the patients.

Furthermore, the army fired live rounds at a car near the Salam Roundabout in Tulkarem and detained several young men at the scene.

The recent attacks are part of the ongoing Israeli aggression and violations in the refugee camp, amid tightening the siege on all its entrances, accompanied by the bulldozing and destruction of infrastructure and private property, including homes, shops, and cars.

Furthermore, the soldiers detained a group of journalists while documenting the unfolding incident and invasion around the Shweika Roundabout in the northern neighborhood of Tulkarem City, inspecting their ID cards and interrogating them before releasing them later.

It is worth mentioning that the soldiers fired intensively and randomly at everything moving around the Al-Israa Specialist Hospital in Tulkarem, where the army set up a military post.

Earlier in the day, a Palestinian girl was injured by shrapnel when the soldiers invaded the city and the refugee camp.

Raed Yassin, the head of Emergency Services at the PRCS in Tulkarem, told the Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) that ambulance crews treated a 12-year-old girl who suffered shrapnel from live rounds while she was at her home in the eastern neighborhood of the city, noting that she was transferred to the Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital.

Yassin added that the soldiers stationed at the hospital entrance stopped the ambulance and forced its crew to open the doors to see who was inside before the medics were able to get the child to the hospital’s emergency room.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that the army continues to besiege hospitals in Tulkarem and maintains a strict siege on the Tulkarem refugee camp while continuing to destroy infrastructure and homes.

It is worth mentioning that the army launched an aggression on Tulkarem and its refugee camps, Tulkarem and Nur Shams, last Wednesday at dawn, which lasted for 48 hours, resulting in the killing of 4 citizens, several injuries, and significant destruction of infrastructure and citizens’ properties.

In related news, Israeli soldiers fired live rounds at Palestinian journalists and chased them with their bulldozers when the army was destroying shops, streets, infrastructure, and private property, in Jenin, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.

The Israeli aggression, since last Wednesday morning, on the West Bank has resulted in the death of 31 citizens, including 18 in Jenin Governorate, 5 in Tulkarem, 4 in Tubas, and 3 in Hebron, raising the death toll in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 682.
