On Monday, Israeli occupation soldiers demolished a Palestinian-owned home in the village of Al-Jiftlik, located north of Jericho in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources reported that soldiers, accompanied by two bulldozers, invaded Al-Jiftlik village and proceeded to demolish a home, owned by Nael Mustafa Bani Odeh.
The sources added that the two-story home, which had been built fifteen years ago, was demolished under the pretext of “lacking a building permit”, although it was licensed by the local village council.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, in August 2024, the Israeli occupation authorities demolished 78 facilities in the West Bank.
These included 36 inhabited homes, 8 uninhabited homes, and 13 agricultural facilities, primarily in the governorates of Jenin, Tulkarem, Tubas, Nablus, Ramallah, occupied Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Hebron.
