On Monday, Day 374 of the ongoing genocide, Israeli missiles and shells struck various parts of the starved, devastated and besieged Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians.
The army targeted with a missile a group of civilians at a supply center in Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza, resulting in the deaths of eight citizens and injuries to more than 20 others. The slain Palestinians and the wounded were transported to Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia.
Additionally, 13 injuries were transferred to Kamal Adwan Hospital after Israeli drones fired bullets at displaced persons in the “Fouqa” School behind Abu Rashid Pool in Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip.
In the southmost part of the Strip, Palestinian ambulance crews transported the bodies of four slain Palestinians from the vicinity of Al-Rahma Mosque in Al-Shaboura refugee camp in Rafah, to Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, after the army fired missiles and shells into the area.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army has continued its massive bombing and shelling attacks on northern Gaza for ten consecutive days, employing unprecedented firepower and deliberate starvation tactics.
This has heightened fears among residents of being forcibly displaced to the south once again.
Despite the ethnic cleansing and genocide, many citizens are determined to stay in their homes, even on their ruins; in the worst scenarios, they seek refuge in nearby areas to escape the increasingly brutal bombardment.
The situation deteriorated further with new warnings issued to residents of Jabalia, Nazla, Safatwi, and Abu Iskandar in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood.
These areas, geographically close to the bombardment and ground invasion that began anew on October 6, were ordered to move south.
They are home to tens of thousands of Palestinians, including thousands who have fled there from Jabalia refugee camp, Jabalia town, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun since the incursion and bombing was renewed about a week ago.
The army has imposed a severe blockade on the entire area, particularly in Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia, and Jabalia, in an attempt to empty it of residents. This blockade also prevents the entry of relief aid and drinking water trucks.
Cities and towns in northern Gaza are subjected to intense airstrikes and artillery shelling targeting homes, shelters, and schools to force residents to leave Gaza.
In addition, Al-Jazeera said in a report that “In the past few hours, Israeli soldiers committed a new massacre at a school in the Nuseirat refugee camp, resulting in the killing of 22 people, including 15 children and a woman, and injuring about 80 others. This raises the number of displacement centers bombed by the occupation since October of last year to 191 centers.”
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that the Israeli army is besieging at least 400,000 Palestinians in northern Gaza.
Joyce Msuya, the Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator at the United Nations, stated on the “X” platform, “What is happening in northern Gaza is horrifying and words cannot describe it.”
She added, “Hospitals have been forced to discharge their patients. Essential supplies are running out. People are being forced to leave their homes, cut off from aid, and are starving. These atrocities must end.”
The Palestinian Health Ministry said the Israeli army “committed for massacres in the Gaza Strip, killing at least 62 and wounding more than 220.”
Israeli has now killed at least 42,289 Palestinians and injured more than 98,684 others, the majority of whom are children and women, in addition to the thousands of missing Palestinians, largely under the rubble, on destroyed streets and bombarded alleys, across the destroyed coastal enclave, since October 7, 2023.
