Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child and injured another, on Sunday, in the town of Halhul, north of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank.

Media sources said that occupation forces opened fire at two Palestinian children, on Sunday afternoon, while they were in the Ramouz area near the northern entrance to Halhul town, north of Hebron.

Sources added that soldiers killed the child, Naji Nidal Al-Baba, 16, after shooting him with live ammunition and confiscating his body.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews received the body of the slain child from the occupation army, before transporting it to hospital.

The slain Al-Baba was in the tenth grade at the Omar Al-Tamimi Secondary School for Boys.


The Ma’an News Agency reported that the two teens were present in the Ramouz area when Israeli forces opened fire at them, killing Al-Baba and moderately injuring another child after shooting him in the hand with live ammunition.

Since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 768 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 167 children, and injured 6,300.

The distribution of those killed in the West Bank is as follows; 201 in Jenin, 178 in Tulkarem, 81 in Nablus, 76 in Hebron, 59 in Ramallah, 59 in Tubas, 48 in Jerusalem, 30 in Qalqilia, 20 in Bethlehem, 12 in Jericho, 12 inside Israel, and 4 in Salfit.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 43,341 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of whom are women and children, and injured 102,105 citizens, while the bodies of thousands of citizens remained buried under the rubble of the devastated coastal enclave.
