The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that the survival conditions are dwindling for about 65,000 to 75,000 people who are estimated to still be in the northern Gaza Strip.
UNRWA explained in a post on the X platform Thursday, that estimates indicate that between 65 and 75 thousand people are still in the besieged northern Gaza Strip, and for more than 50 days they have been facing deteriorating conditions for survival.
The Agency noted that the areas of Jabalia, Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun have been largely cut off from receiving humanitarian aid for weeks amid ongoing violent hostilities.
UNRWA pointed out that the past three days witnessed heavy rainfall and a noticeable drop in temperatures, while thousands of families displaced from the besieged areas are now facing the cold and rain of winter without blankets, mattresses or shelters to protect them from the water.
The occupation forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, which has resulted in the killing of at least 44,282 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, and the injury of 104,880 others, in an incomplete toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and rescue crews cannot reach them.
