Israeli forces abducted at least fifteen Palestinians, including children and former prisoners in the occupied West Bank, between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
In a joint statement the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) and the Commission of Prisoners’ and Former Prisoners’ Affairs said that Israeli forces abducted fifteen citizens in the governorates of Jenin, Tulkarem, Nablus, Salfit, Ramallah, and Hebron.
The statement added that occupation forces have abducted more than 11,900 citizens since the beginning of the military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, adding that soldiers have abducted an estimated thousands of Palestinians from Gaza.
Israeli forces abducted a Palestinian young man after invading his home in the Ezbet Nasser neighborhood in Tulkarem city, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources said that on Sunday at dawn, occupation forces stormed and searched the home of Mustafa Badir, before abducting him.
On Sunday evening, the army invaded the towns of Anabta and Kafr al-Labad, east of Tulkarem, touring the streets and carrying out search operations.
Media sources said that a large army force stormed the town of Kafr al-Labad from the nearby village of Shoufa, before touring the main streets of the town; no arrests or protests were reported.
Sources added that occupation forces stormed the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarem, on Sunday evening, roaming and searching several neighborhoods before withdrawing from its eastern entrance.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces abducted two young men, including a former prisoner in the town of Aqaba, north of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
Kamal Bani Odeh, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) in Tubas, told the WAFA News Agency that occupation forces abducted Qusay Ahmad al-Sayyed, and the former prisoner, Mohammad Jamal al-Shawish, after storming their family homes.
Media sources reported that a special undercover unit infiltrated the town at dawn, followed by military reinforcements from its eastern entrance.
Furthermore, on Sunday morning, the army abducted the two Al-Najah University students, Owais Nasser Mohammad Najjar and Omar Asem Mohammad Najjar, from their homes in the village of Burin, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
In the nearby village of Einabus, soldiers invaded the home of the slain Samer Hussein, 46, and took its measurements in a prelude to demolishing it; Hussein was killed on Friday after allegedly carrying out a shooting operation near the illegal “Ariel” colony, north of Salfit.
The Arab 48 news website reported that the army also abducted the young man, Ihab Mahfouz, from the village of Einabus.
In the afternoon, soldiers abducted Mahmoud Marai, a citizen of the Tulkarem governorate, while he was passing through the Huwwara military roadblock, south of Nablus.
In the central West Bank, soldiers abducted the citizens, Karam Al-Masri, Sharif Rushdi, Ahmad Abdel Fattah Maali, and Mohammad Al-Hassan, after storming and searching their homes in the city of Salfit.
Also in the central West Bank, occupation forces abducted four schoolchildren in the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, after storming several citizens’ homes.
The army invaded and ransacked the homes of Rabah Raed Bishara Al-Hajj Mohammad, Alaa Abdul Hamid Abu Alia, Rashid Darar Naasan, and Muslim Abdul Latif Abu Alia, before abducting them.
Lastly, Israeli forces abducted the citizen, Abdul Rahman al-Atrash, after storming and ransacking his home in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
