On Tuesday, Israeli forces injured several citizens, shooting two with live rounds near Jenin, in the northern West Bank, and assaulting two others near Qalqilia, in the northwestern part of the West Bank.

In a statement, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its ambulance crews transported two young men to the hospital, after they sustained live gunshot wounds to their legs in the town of Silat ad-Dhahr.

Media sources said that the army invaded the town of Silat ad-Dhahr, southwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, sparking protests.

Sources added that Israeli soldiers opened fire with live rounds, rubber-coated steel rounds, and tear gas canisters, in addition to storming homes and shops in the town.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces stormed the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern part of the West Bank, assaulted two young men, detained many others, and invaded several homes and shops.

Media sources said that occupation forces invaded and ransacked the homes of the two young men, Ayman Nizam Abu Haniya and Mohammad Amjad Hawari, on Tuesday morning, while assaulting them and causing moderate injuries.

Sources added that soldiers detained several citizens, taking them to a home belonging to Mohammed Suleiman, after it had been converted to a military barrack, and subjected them to interrogation; they were later released.

In related news, occupation forces abducted, at dawn Tuesday, a resident of the Jenin governorate after invading his workplace inside Israel.

According to Montaser Samour, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) in Jenin, the army abducted the young man, Hamza Nasser Faris Zioud, after storming his workplace inside Israel.
