Leader of the Al Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of Fateh movement, denied media reports by the French Press Agency which claimed that Israel has pardoned him and that he handed his weapon to the Palestinian Authority in Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank.Zobeidi stated that he did not make any statement regarding the claimed pardon and that Israel still considers him wanted although the Palestinian Authority is practicing efforts to end this file.

He also said that his name is still among the wanted lists that the Israeli soldiers carry as they operate in the occupied West Bank.

Two days ago, Israeli sources stated that the Israeli Security Services pardoned 35 wanted resistance fighters of the Al Aqsa brigades, but the list did not include the name of Al Zobeidi and dozens of other fighters as the security services delayed the deliberations on their cases until further notice.
