The Israeli military court of Salem in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, remanded on Sunday custody of seven Palestinian detainees of the Jenin city.

Lawyer Mustafa aL-Azmouti told media outlets that the Israeli authorities remanded the detention of the seven prisoners to various periods, ranging from one week to two months.

Those, whose detentions were remanded, will stand without trial until the military court says its word, lawyer Al-Za’mout added.

Since the outbreak of the second Intifada (uprising) in 2000, the Israeli military has been conducting daily arrest campaigns across the West Bank cities, towns and refugee camps.

Currently, there are about 11,500 Palestinian prisoners at various detention facilities and so far Israel has not softened position over releasing them all.
