Israeli forces killed a Palestinian young man and injured others, on Tuesday evening, after storming the city of Jericho, in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that 24-year-old Sa’id Nael Sa’id Al-Sheikh was shot and killed by occupation forces during a military incursion into the city of Jericho.
For his part, the director of Jericho Governmental Hospital, Riyad Eid, said that the slain Al-Sheikh died as a result of a live gunshot wound to the abdomen, adding that he suffered a ruptured liver.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces stormed the city of Jericho earlier in the evening, sparking protests among Palestinian civilians, resulting in the injury of at least six citizens.
He added that occupation soldiers broke into a citizen’s home in the city center, assaulted the homeowners, shot three young men with live rounds, and ran over a woman with a military vehicle.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews provided first aid to two young men after they were assaulted by soldiers during confrontations in the “Katf al-Wad” neighborhood in Jericho city.
In related news, the army shot and killed the young man Omar Zuhair Manea, 20, on Monday evening, while he and others were near the Apartheid wall, south of Qalqilia in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, occupation forces have killed 1112 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 230 children and 24 women.
In the Jenin governorate, 310 Palestinians have been killed, while 213 were killed in Tulkarem, 141 in Nablus, 107 in Hebron, 98 in Tubas, 82 in Ramallah, 61 in Jerusalem, 43 in Qalqilia, 35 in Bethlehem, 14 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, and 8 in Salfit, according to the Shireen Observatory.
