Israeli occupation forces abducted at least thirty Palestinians from across the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, between Monday evening and Tuesday morning, in a continuation of widespread invasions and violations that have intensified since the beginning of the year.
Among those abducted were former prisoner Zahra Khadraj and her daughter Yaqin, along with a woman from Qalandia refugee camp.
Several other former political prisoners were also taken during the overnight invasions, which targeted residents in the districts of Jenin, Nablus, Qalqilia, Tulkarem, Ramallah, and Jerusalem.

The wave of abductions reflects a rapidly escalating pattern in which Israeli forces carry out field interrogations, home invasions, and mass sweeps across Palestinian communities.
The invasions have expanded sharply in scale following the ongoing genocide in Gaza, forming part of a broader policy of collective retaliation that targets Palestinians from all sectors of society, including women, youth, and former detainees.
Former political prisoners released in previous exchange agreements remain a primary target of these campaigns. The abduction of Zahra Khadraj from Qalqilia was cited by rights groups as a clear violation of the terms of the exchange deal and a deliberate message that all released detainees remain vulnerable to renewed imprisonment and ongoing persecution.

Women have also faced a marked increase in repression, with abductions carried out through night invasions, hostage‑taking, and harsh interrogation methods, to pressure their sons, husbands, or brothers inro turning themselves in to the military.
Rights organizations warn that the abduction of women is being used as a tool of pressure and collective punishment, representing a dangerous escalation in Israel’s treatment of female detainees.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have carried out more than 21,000 abductions across the West Bank, making daily arrest campaigns one of the most entrenched and systematic policies imposed on the Palestinian population.
Observers say the scale and frequency of these operations are intended to destabilize communities, suppress political activity, and exert maximum pressure on Palestinian society under the current climate of intensified military aggression.
