Israeli troops handed out on Monday 10 demolition orders to Palestinian farmers from villages in the Jordan valley.
Troops stormed Al Jeftlek and Al Fasayil villages in the Jordan valley and ordered local farmers to demolish farm houses and huts.
All targeted structures are built on private land owned by those farmers, local sources reported. The army says the farmers built those structures on land the state of Israel considers a ‘national park’, even though it is nowhere near the 1967 borders of the state of Israel.
The villagers told media that they have documents proving their ownership of the land. The documents date back to the Ottoman Era, pre-dating both the creation of the state of Israel in 1948 and the British occupation of 1917-1948, the farmers added.
