Israeli forces killed a Palestinian civilian and wounded several others on Friday after opening fire on displaced families in northern Gaza, amid continued attacks and rising casualty figures across the besieged Strip.
Field reporters confirmed that Israeli soldiers stationed in the northern Gaza Strip fired heavy machine‑gun rounds toward tents sheltering displaced families in the Tal ath‑Thahab area of Beit Lahia, killing one civilian, and injuring several others.
Residents said the gunfire struck an area densely populated with families who had already been displaced multiple times since the start of the assault.
The attack in Beit Lahia occurred as Israeli forces continued to target civilians across several areas of the Gaza Strip throughout the day.

Earlier, Israeli forces shot and killed two brothers In al‑Shuja’iyya, east of Gaza City, while they were transporting water along al‑Mansoura Street and wounded a third sibling.
A separate drone strike targeted a water‑desalination point in the same neighborhood, killing another Palestinian and injuring others.
In Zeitoun, east of Gaza City, several civilians were struck by live fire, including children. In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli forces opened fire toward homes and makeshift shelters east of al‑Maghazi refugee camp, wounding at least three civilians.
South of the Strip, a Palestinian man was shot and killed by Israeli forces in Khan Younis, according to medical sources.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that one Palestinian succumbed to his wounds and eight others were injured in the past 24 hours. The ministry added that a number of victims remain trapped under rubble and in open areas where ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them due to ongoing Israeli fire.
According to the official daily statistical report, 766 Palestinians have been killed and 2,147 injured since the start of the declared “ceasefire” framework on October 11, 2025. The ministry also confirmed that 760 bodies have been recovered from destroyed areas during the same period.
Since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, the cumulative toll has risen to 72,345 Palestinians killed and 172,250 injured, with thousands still missing.
Humanitarian agencies warn that the continued Israeli attacks, combined with severe restrictions on movement and aid delivery, have left displaced families—particularly in northern Gaza—without reliable access to food, water, or medical care.
Residents report that Israeli forces continue to fire toward areas previously designated as “safe,” further endangering civilians attempting to relocate or access basic services.
