Israeli occupation forces carried out multiple invasions across the occupied West Bank on Friday, shooting and injuring a Palestinian man, assaulting another near a military roadblock, abducting a resident from the Tubas district, and invading a refugee camp in Bethlehem, in a continuation of widespread military violations targeting Palestinian communities.
Israeli soldiers invaded the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah in the central West Bank, where they fired live ammunition, rubber‑coated steel bullets, and large quantities of toxic tear gas toward residents leaving the village mosque after Friday prayers.
Local sources said a young man was shot with live fire, while dozens of others suffered the effects of tear‑gas inhalation.
The soldiers also detained several young men and children during the invasion, though it remained unclear whether they were abducted or briefly interrogated.
Later in the day, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers, accompanied by occupation forces, entered the village and moved around the area surrounding the main mosque.
In a separate incident, Israeli soldiers assaulted a Palestinian man near the village of Deir Sharaf, west of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
Medics with the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Nablus said they treated a 23‑year‑old man who was beaten by soldiers while passing through the Deir Sharaf military roadblock and transferred him to hospital for further treatment.
Earlier on Friday, the soldiers abducted a Palestinian man from the town of Tammun, south of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank.
The director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society office in Tubas, Kamal Bani Odah, said the soldiers abducted Nasser Yousef Ahmad Bani Matar, 50, after summoning him for interrogation at the Salem military base, which is built on Palestinian land belonging to Jenin in the northern West Bank.
Late Friday night, Israeli occupation forces invaded Dheisheh Refugee Camp, south of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, spreading across the main Jerusalem–Hebron Road, the entrance to the refugee camp, and the vicinity of the Sbeih commercial complex.
Foot patrols moved through the area, leading to confrontations during which the soldiers fired stun grenades and toxic tear‑gas canisters. No injuries were reported.
Earlier Friday, Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of invasions across several areas of the West Bank, shooting and injuring three Palestinians near the Annexation Wall, abducting multiple residents, and assaulting a young man near a military roadblock, amid a continued escalation of military violations targeting Palestinian communities.
These incidents reflect the ongoing pattern of Israeli military invasions, home break‑ins, abductions, and assaults across the occupied West Bank, where Palestinian communities continue to face escalating violations by occupation forces and colonizers.
