Israeli forces invaded communities across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, broke into and ransacked homes, abducted four Palestinians, restricted movement and opened fire in several areas, according to local and Palestinian sources.
In the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the towns of an-Nazla ash-Sharqiya and Qaffin, north of Tulkarem, before dawn. Local sources said military vehicles and foot patrols moved through streets and neighborhoods while conducting searches.
In Jenin, in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted three Palestinians, including a woman, during invasions of the city and surrounding areas.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society identified them as Mohammad Nasser as-Saadi, abducted from Jenin’s eastern neighborhood, and Adwan al-Karouz and his mother, who were abducted from housing used by people displaced from Jenin refugee camp near the Arab American University.
Israeli forces also invaded several other parts of Jenin governorate, tightened military restrictions and broke into and searched homes, according to local sources.
In the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the Wadi al-Far’a area and the town of Tammun, south of Tubas, where soldiers broke into a home.
In the central West Bank, Israeli forces obstructed traffic at the western entrance to al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, holding vehicles and causing congestion that delayed residents traveling to work.
The western entrance is currently the village’s only access point after Israeli forces closed its eastern entrance on October 7, 2023.
Israeli forces also invaded Beitin, northeast of Ramallah, as well as al-Bireh city and al-Am’ari refugee camp in the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate.
Forces moved through al-Am’ari refugee camp, south of Ramallah, and the Sateh Marhaba, Jabal at-Taweel and Umm ash-Sharayet neighborhoods of al-Bireh.
North of occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces invaded the main entrance to Qalandia refugee camp before dawn and fired live ammunition and concussion grenades. The army also invaded Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, moving through Airport Street and the Institute area.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted Karim Asakra while he was passing through the Container military roadblock east of Bethlehem. Forces also invaded Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem.
Separately, an Israeli colonizer accompanied by sheep invaded the area around the Sweiss family home in Khalayel al-Louz, southeast of Bethlehem, damaged family property and broke several trees surrounding the house.
Khalayel al-Louz and nearby communities southeast of Bethlehem face repeated attacks by colonizers, including assaults on homes, damage to crops and trees, and the release of livestock onto farmland, according to local sources.
Israeli forces continue to carry out daily invasions across the occupied West Bank, during which soldiers break into and ransack homes, abduct Palestinians, impose movement restrictions and maintain military roadblocks.
In late August, the United Nations reported a continuing rise in violence across the occupied West Bank. The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said more than 1,040 Palestinians had been injured in colonizer attacks since the beginning of 2026, while 80 colonizer attacks caused casualties, property damage or both during the second and third weeks of August.
The August 28 UN report said three families in Qusra remained isolated after a new settlement outpost was established in Area B around August 9. It also reported that Israeli forces forcibly invaded the UNRWA Qalandia Training Centre in occupied Jerusalem on August 25, placing the education of 340 Palestine refugee students at immediate risk.
In a September 4 report, the United Nations Human Rights Office documented serious violations linked to Israeli military operations in Jenin, Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps in the northern and northwestern West Bank.
The report described unwarranted lethal force, mass forced displacement, shootings and abuse of Palestinians attempting to return, and widespread destruction of homes, public services and infrastructure.
The September report said displaced residents continued to face denial of return and extensive demolition of private and public property. Separately, UNRWA reported on August 27 that two Palestinian children were killed in the occupied West Bank between August 21 and 23, one by a colonizer during an attack on Khirbet Hamroush and another by Israeli forces during an operation in Askar refugee camp.
