In the occupied West Bank on Tuesday evening, Israeli forces shot and wounded a couple in Jenin, while colonizers torched property in Burqa and soldiers tightened road restrictions near Abu Falah.
In Hebron in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the southern part of the city and broke into several homes and commercial shops along Al-Ikhwa Street.
Local sources reported that soldiers detained a child, Yazan Murad Ghaith, and Mohammad Essam Al-Rajabi for more than four hours before abducting them. The soldiers also detained dozens of other residents and subjected them to field interrogation.
In Bethlehem governorate, Israeli forces abducted journalist Niqa’ Bajes Hamed while she was crossing a military roadblock in the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem.
In a separate incident, soldiers installed a military roadblock in the Al-Jorn area of Battir, west of Bethlehem, stopped vehicles, and inspected residents’ identification documents.
Meanwhile, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers invaded the Benayya Sahba area near the village of Al-Rashayda, east of Bethlehem, and removed barbed-wire fencing surrounding Palestinian-owned land.
According to local sources, the targeted land belongs to residents of Ar-Rashayda and At-Ta’amra and lies between the village and the Ma’ale Amos colony.
The attack followed the colonizers’ installation of a tent in the area several days earlier, which residents said was an attempt to establish a new colonial outpost.
Local residents have reported an escalation in colonizer violence in recent weeks, including attacks on homes, shepherds, and livestock.
In Jenin in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded Nazareth Street, installed a temporary military roadblock, and detained several residents, including women, before subjecting them to abuse. Soldiers opened live fire at a vehicle in the area, wounding Iyad Massad and his wife, both from the village of Al-Jalama, according to local sources.
In Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli Eitan armored vehicles invaded the area surrounding the Quran Academy. Soldiers also invaded the town of Awarta, south of the city.
Israeli forces additionally invaded the town of Deir al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank.
In Ramallah in the central West Bank, colonizers attacked homes on the outskirts of Burqa, east of the city, and set fire to property.
The fires damaged property, including at least one vehicle, before local residents confronted the attackers, leading to confrontations in the area.
Elsewhere in Ramallah governorate, Israeli forces invaded the village of Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah, deployed throughout its neighborhoods, and tightened restrictions on roads leading to the area.
Soldiers also installed a military roadblock on the Yabrud-Silwad road, stopped vehicles, and inspected identification documents.
During a predawn invasion, Israeli occupation forces killed 54-year-old Palestinian Ziad Mohammad Jaber in his home in Al-Bireh, east of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, on Tuesday.
Escalation in Colonizer Attacks
According to figures supplied by the Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission, colonizers carried out 4,286 attacks during the first seven months of 2026, an increase of 63% compared with the same period in 2025.
In August alone, colonizers carried out 628 attacks across the West Bank. Ramallah and Al-Bireh recorded the highest total, with 157 attacks, followed by Nablus with 137, Hebron with 120, Bethlehem with 73, Tubas with 40, Jenin with 36, and Jerusalem with 31.
The reported total from the beginning of 2026 through the end of August reached 4,914 attacks. The August attacks directly affected 164 Palestinians, including 20 children and 17 women, while 21,508 trees were damaged, including 19,375 olive trees.
The simultaneous incidents in Jenin and Ramallah reflect the parallel escalation of Israeli military measures and colonizer attacks, increasing pressure on Palestinians and turning roads, villages, and towns into recurring sites of invasion, gunfire, detention, and attacks on property.
In the northern Jordan Valley, in the northeastern West Bank’s Tubas governorate, colonizers gathered near Palestinian homes in the Ein Ghazal area of Al-Farisiyya. Residents expressed concern amid ongoing tensions in the area.
