Palestinian medical sources reported Tuesday that two Palestinian were wounded when the Israeli Air Force bombarded a site believed to be a training grounds used by fighters of the Al Qassam brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.The army also bombarded another site that was bombarded last night; the site is located west of Khan Younis.

Medical sources reported Tuesday that two Palestinians were wounded and were moved to Abu Yousef Al Najjar Hospital, in Khan Younis.

Meanwhile, an Israeli army spokesperson stated that Palestinian fighters fired at least 14 homemade shells into Israeli settlements, adjacent to Gaza, in the last two days.

Last night, the army carried a series of attacks targeting several areas in the Gaza Strip; three Palestinians were wounded, one seriously.

Israeli Army Chief of Staff, Gabi Ashkenazi, stated that the situation on the border with Gaza is fragile, and that it could witness further deterioration.

He told the Israeli Radio that a new system to intercept shells will be installed near the border with Gaza in the coming year.
