Local sources in Bil’in village, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, reported Friday that several protesters were treated for the effects of teargas inhalation after the Israeli soldiers violently attacked the weekly nonviolent protest in the village.The Popular Committee Against the Wall in Bil’in, reported that soldiers fired rubber-coated metal and dozens of teargas bombs at the protesters.

Dozens of local residents, Israeli and international peace activists participated in the protest chanting slogans demanding internal Palestinian Unity, and stressing on the importance of the Palestinian nonviolent resistance against the occupation, the Annexation Wall, and the settlements.

They also demanded the release of all Palestinian political prisoners, and the liberation of Palestine.

In related news, soldiers stationed at the Qalandia Terminal, north of Jerusalem, kidnapped Ashraf Abu Rahma, 30, and Basel Mansour, 34, local nonviolent activists in Bil’in, and members of the of the Popular Committee Against the Wall.

Ashraf was injured in his leg and ear after being violently attacked by the soldiers.
