Israeli navy attack Gaza fishers as troops target farmers, in the meantime Israeli soldiers kidnap more than a dozen civilians from West Bank communities. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
Israeli navy ships opened fire, Wednesday, targeting fishers in Palestinian waters, northwest of Gaza city, while the soldiers opened fire on shepherds and farmers, in different parts of the coastal region. Many Palestinian boats were hit by navy fire, causing damage, and pushing the fishers to sail back to shore, fearing additional escalation.
In addition, soldiers stationed across the border fence, fired many live rounds on farmers and shepherds, in Palestinian lands, along the border fence, east of the Gaza Strip. The soldiers also opened fire on farmers east of Abasan al-Kabeera town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the coastal region.
A similar attack took place east of the al-Qarara town, northeast of Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah and east of the al-Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza, targeting farmers and shepherds. The attacks did not lead to casualties, but forced the Palestinians to leave the attacked areas, in fear of additional military escalation.
Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers kidnapped, on Wednesday dawn, nine Palestinians in the central West Bank district of Salfit, and two others in Hebron and Ramallah. Five Palestinians were also kidnapped earlier in Bethlehem and Nablus.
Later on Wednesday, Israeli soldiers invaded al-‘Isawiyya and Abu Dis towns, in occupied Jerusalem, and kidnapped four Palestinians.
In other news, Israeli Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan ordered a halt on the transfer of the remaining four bodies of slain Palestinians to their families in Jerusalem. The Israeli minister alleged that his decision came after the family of Ala Abu Jamal, that buried its son, Tuesday, after Israeli killed him and held his body for seven months “violated the terms of his burial.”
The family of Abu Jamal said that they followed the Israeli orders of paying the 12,000 USD bail that they had to pay and only 50 people joined the ceremony as ordered by the Israeli army.
