Welcome to Palestine Today, a service of the International Middle East Media Center, www.imemc.org, for Wednesday, March, 22, 2017.

A Palestinian teenager killed by Israeli army bombardment targeting Gaza, meanwhile in the West Bank troops search homes and kidnap civilian. These stories, and more coming up stay tuned.

Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child and seriously wounded a young man after firing artillery shells at them when both civilians were near the border fence with Israel in al-Shokah village, east of Rafah City.

16-year-old Yousef Abu Ethera was killed as Israeli forces stationed along the border fence east of Rafah City, fired around 15 artillery shells at 3 Palestinian civilians, who were only 300 meters away from the borders. According to the eyewitness, the three were trying to sneak into Israel for work.

The artillery shells directly hit Abu Ethera, from al-Shabourah refugee camp in Rafah City, to the upper part of his body.

Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers abducted, overnight until morning hours Wednesday, sixteen Palestinians, including two children, in the West Bank, and one from a village near Nazareth.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said that invasions and abductions were reported in Ramallah, Jericho, Jerusalem and Jenin.

In other news, Israeli soldiers invaded the Jabal al-Mukabber neighborhood, in Jerusalem, on Wednesday, and completely encased the home of a Palestinian man who was killed by Israeli forces earlier this year.

A large military force surrounded and invaded the neighborhood, and, according to eyewitnesses, the troops brought with them a concrete truck. They then stationed the truck in front of the family home of Fadi al-Qunbar, who was killed by Israeli forces, and began filling the entire home with concrete.

The family was not allowed to retrieve their belongings, and the entire house was encased in concrete with no way to retrieve any of their belongings or rebuild their destroyed home – since it is now a solid block of concrete. It is worth mentioning that Fadi al-Qunbar, 20, was killed by the army on January, 8, 2017, after driving a truck through a crowd of Israeli soldiers on a street near Sur Baher, southeast of Jerusalem, killing four, and wounding 15 others.
