Dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded, on Wednesday at dawn, Jenin refugee camp, in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and clashed with dozens of youngsters, before killing two Palestinians with live rounds, and wounding at least one with an expanding bullet.
Medical sources In Jenin said the soldiers killed Sa’ed Hasan Salah, 21, from Jenin city, and Aws Mohammad Salama, 17, from Jenin refugee camp, after shooting them with live fire. The sources added that the soldiers also shot Odai Nizar Abu Na’sa, 19, with an expanding bullet in his leg, causing a serious injury.
The soldiers also fired many live rounds, gas bombs, concussion grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets, during clashes with Palestinians protesting the invasion. Sources at Khalil Suleiman hospital, in Jenin, said Salah was shot with three live rounds, including one in the head, and succumbed to his wounds on the operating table.
Salah’s uncle, said the slain young man has three brothers; one of them, Yousef, is imprisoned by Israel, and the second is a former political prisoner, while their father became paralyzed several years ago, after the soldiers shot him in his back. The Israeli army claimed that many Palestinian protesters hurled homemade explosives and Molotov cocktail on the military vehicles.
Also at dawn, Israeli troops abducted eight young Palestinian men, from their homes, in different parts of the West Bank governorates of Nablus, Tulkarem and Hebron. Furthermore, the soldiers invaded several areas in the northern West Bank governorate of Jenin, searched many homes, abducted four young men, and installed roadblocks.
Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers invaded, Wednesday, the al-Jisir area, between Jabal al-Mokabber and Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, and demolished storage rooms and a car-wash facility, owned by Mousa Obeidat, and abducted one Palestinian after shooting him.
The soldiers invaded the facilities and demolished them, under the pretext of being constructed without a permit from the Jerusalem City Council.
Many Palestinians protested the invasion and the demolitions, before the soldiers shot a young man, identified as Ali Ziad Odah, with a rubber-coated steel bullet in his leg, and abducted him, after repeatedly assaulting him.
