United Nations General Secretary Coffi Anan called Sunday Israel to accept the ruling of the International Court of Justice, which demands the dismantling of the West bank separation wall.
Speaking to reporters in Bangkok, Anan said ‘the ruling is clear, even while we understand Israel’s need to protect its citizens; any measure taken should go in line with International law and respect the interests of Palestinians. Israel, as an occupying power, should respect its obligations’
Anan also said that the issue will be soon discussed in the General Assembly and that all need to wait for its decision.
