On Tuesday, an illegal Israeli colonizer attempted to ram a Palestinian teacher with his car while she was heading to a school near Jericho, in the occupied West Bank’s northeastern part.

Hasan Mleihat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for Defending Bedouin Rights, stated that the colonizer, from one of the various illegal outposts in the area, attempted to run over the teacher, Reem Thabata, who teaches at the Arab Al-Ka’abna Elementary School.

He added that the incident occurred near the Arab Al-Mleihat Bedouin community in the Al-Mo’arrajat area, northwest of Jericho.

Mleihat further stated that the same colonizer also chased several students on their way to school.

Last Saturday, a Palestinian man was injured after being attacked by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers who unleashed their dogs on him while he was plowing his land in the southern area of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern region.

Also Saturday, a group of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian farmers and cars near the al-Mughayyir village northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
