A loud explosion heard on Tuesday morning, at a checkpoint near the village of Habla near the West Bank city of Qaliqilia. The explosion, apparently caused by a suicide bomber, injured 2 Palestinians and 3 Israeli soldiers who were at the checkpoint.

The Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack and declared the name of the bomber as Yousef Ighbaryeh from Qaliqilia.

Zakria Al-Zubeidi, the leader of the Aqsa Brigades in Jenin said, this is a first response to Monday’s assassination in which three of the brigades’ operatives were killed in Jenin in an Israeli air strike in the city.

Israeli medical sources said, the injuries are between light, but one of the soldiers in moderate-to-serious condition, as he suffers burns that could be life threatening.

Israeli Army assassinates Three Palestinians in Jenin

Palestinian sources reported that three Palestinians were killed and several others were wounded as the Israeli Air Force gun ships fired missiles at their can in the West Bank city of Jenin Monday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses said, three children were injured as the Apache fired at the car at the southern entrance of the city and caused a big damage.

The dead are Sheikh Mahmoud Abu Khaliefeh 25, Amjad Hosni 22, and Yamin Faisal, and were all identified as resistance operatives of the Aqsa Martyr Brigades in the city.

Palestinian sources said, Abu Khaliefeh is the deputy of Zakaria Zubeidi, the leader of the Brigades in Jenin area and added that Hosni was got married only last week.

In his first comment on the assassination, Zakaria Al-Zubeidi said, vowed a special response to this assassination.

‘I do not want to say, there will be an earthquake or whatsoever, however, I say, there will be a different response to this crime’ Al Zubeidi said.

Al-Zubeidi has been declared wanted by the Israeli military since the beginning of the second Intifada as they accuse him of standing behind several attacks against Israeli targets
