100 days away from the starting day for implementing the disengagement plan, there is no coordination between the Palestinian Authority and Israel, PA source.

The Palestinian ministerial committee for pullout issues held Wednesday a meeting in Ramallah to discuss Palestinian preparations to takeover responsibilities in all evacuated areas following the implementation of the disengagement plan.

The Palestinian President spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeinah said that the PA is unilaterally preparing for the post pullout period, denying that any level of coordination is taking place between the PA and Israel.

Abu Rudeinah explained that Israel informed the PA that at this stage there was no need or desire to coordinate pullout steps.

Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei, who heads the ministerial committee, told reporters at the end of the meeting that the PA favors a coordinated disengagement, saying that information on pullout can be addressed to Israel and the American Administration.

Qurei also said that regardless the lack of information or coordination, “the PA will continue preparing for taking over all responsibilities in any evacuated Palestinian area”
