The Palestinian Prisoners Society said that 8000 Palestinians detainees in all Israeli prisons and detention camps, decided to conduct hunger strike on Sunday, April 17, commemorating the Palestinian Prisoners Day.
The Society reported that the detainees arrived to this decision in order to deliver a message to the world and the international community that the detainees in Israeli prisons are still suffering of harsh conditions and treatments, in addition to continuous violations to their rights guaranteed by the international law.
“The detainees believe that the international institutions have forgotten them, and neglected their suffering; they did not act against the continuous Israeli violationsâ€Â, a statement released by the detainees read.
Also, the detainees called upon the “Palestinians, and all freedom fighter in this world to support them and their struggle for freedom and dignityâ€Â.
On Sunday, Palestinians will mark the Palestinian Prisoners Day, and hold processions in all districts in support to the detainees and their struggle in Israeli prisons.
