Israeli sources reported that an agreement to start a Palestinian-Israeli academic cooperation is signed in London between the Hebrew University and Al-Quds University.
The agreement is signed by heads of the two universities, Manachem Migdor and Sari Nusseibeh.
This agreement comes at a time when many British academics decided to boycott Israeli universities after Israel decided to expand a college in the West Bank settlement of Ariel to a university.
The British academics argue that since the settlement is illegal, the university will be illegal. The illegality of the settlement comes from the fact that it is built on the occupied land of the West Bank.
