Israeli soldiers fired overnight, a tank shell at an armed resistance group near the settlement of Morag in the southern Gaza Strip, one fighter was seriously injured.
A medical source in Khan Younis reported that Mohammad Ismail al-Najjar, 24, was seriously injured, and lost one of his legs due to the explosion.
The Israeli army claims that the resistance group was attempting to place and explosive device by a fence surrounding Morag settlements.
According to the Israeli online daily Haaretz, the injured man is a member of abu al-Reesh brigades, one of Fatah’s military wings.
In a separate incident, Palestinian resistance fired at an Israeli military post near Naveh Dekalim settlement, in the Gush Katif settlement bloc in the Gaza Strip, no injuries were reported.
