London Mayor Ken Livingstone at a conferens said that Israel is responsible for “crimes against humanity†and compared the ruling Likud party to Hamas.
â€ÂThe Likud and Hamas members are two sides of the same coinâ€Â, Mayor Livingstone said. “They need each other in order to attract support.â€Â

 He added that Israel has done “horrendous things which border on crimes against humanity in the way they have indiscriminately slaughtered men, women and children in the West Bank and Gaza for decades.’

 The Mayor also pronounced a certain understanding for suicide bombings, which by the Israeli press has been interpreted as outspoken support for them. â€ÂPalestinians don’t have jet fighters, they only have their bodies to use as weapons. In that unfair balance, that’s what people use,†said Livingstone.
