Israeli soldiers on Saturday morning arrested eight residents of al-Shiokh village, east the West Bank city of Hebron.

A local source in Hebron reported that soldiers, supported by armored vehicles and jeeps, invaded the village, broke into dozens of homes and searched them after forcing the residents out.

Damage was reported to the furniture of the attacked homes.

The source stated that soldiers detained and interrogated dozens of residents for several hours, and arrested eight.

The arrested residents were identified as Nidal Taiseer Salhab, 23, Hamza Halayqa, 24, his brother Mohammad, 21, Ghazi Is’efan, 37, Ahmad Afeefy Halayqa, 20, Fayez Mahmoud Halayqa, 26, Ashraf Ayyoub Halayqa, 26, and Bassam Shihada Halayqa, 30.

Soldiers also occupied rooftops of several homes, using them as military posts and monitoring towers.
