Israeli soldiers fired on Saturday afternoon, at a peaceful protest in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza strip.

A local source in Khan Younis reported that soldiers fired at the procession while the residents were marching towards al-Tuffah checkpoint, west of the city.

The protestors were chanting slogans calling for unity among the Palestinians, and calling for full liberation of the occupied territories.

Representatives of several Palestinian factions and women organizations participated in the procession.
