The army arrested Abdul-Fattah Ishtewy, 25, from Tulkarem, at a sudden checkpoint at the southern entrance of the city, while he was on his way to the nearby village of Kafer Sur on Tuesday afternoon, local sources reported.

Troops stopped Ishtewi while he was driving towards Kafer Sur, arrested him, and took him to an unknown destination, eyewitness reported.


Ishtewy is a Fatah supporter and the brother of a member of the Islamic Jihad who is wanted by the Israeli security.
