Israeli soldiers arrested one resident in the west Bank city of Hebron, and declared several neighborhoods in the old city as closed military zones, while settlers repeated their attacks in Tal Rmeida neighborhood in the city.

 

The WAFA news agency reported that one resident was arrested on Friday morning in the old city of Hebron, and was taken to an unknown destination.

The resident, who was not identified, was chased by the soldiers, who fired rounds of live ammunition, and arrested him later on.

Also, Israeli soldiers closed several neighborhoods in the old city of Hebron, the Market Area in the old city, and several areas close to the Ibrahimi Mosque, and declared them closed military zones.

Dozens of residents were searched, and interrogated while trying to enter the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city in order to attend the Friday prayers.

Residents were forced to pass through electronic gates and searched machines installed around the mosque area, while several youth were attacked by the soldiers.

Meanwhile, settlers of the Ramat Yeshai illegal settlement outpost attacked several homes in Tal Rmeida neighborhood chanted slogan calling for expelling the Palestinians from Hebron, and hurled stones at the homes, damage reported.
