Israeli army troops detained scores of Palestinian civilians from the West Bank city of Hebron at a sudden military checkpoint they setup on the main road leading to the city on Monday at noon.
Soldiers stopped the cars coming into or out of the city and detained residents forcing them to stand for long hours in the sun eyewitness reported.
Army has intensified its operations in the Hebron area and escalated its offenses against the civilians in the cityin the past few months, local sources reported.
