Head of the Israeli National Security Council, Giora Eiland, conditioned the Israeli approval of weapon transfer to the Palestinian Authority (P.A) with fighting Hamas.
“The Palestinian request to receive weapons and ammunition is a positive step, yet the P.A should prove that it is fighting Hamas”, Eiland, said, “We should also consider an economic boost an enable them export and import freely in the Gaza Strip”.
Also, Eiland, claimed that the lack of action by the P.A is encouraging Hamas to continue its activities against Israel.
Also, the Egyptian daily Al Jomhoriyya reported on Sunday that Egypt is currently coordinating with Israel and the P.A in order to reopen the Rafah border crossing, in the coming days.
Visitors from Arab and international country will be able to enter the Gaza Strip through Egypt, including the Palestinian pilgrims who are currently in Saudi Arabia.
