Israeli soldiers shot and injured, on Saturday morning, two Palestinians from Beta village, south of the West Bank city of Nablus, a Palestinian security source reported.
An Israeli military source claimed that Palestinians hurled a Molotov cocktail and fired several rounds of live ammunition at military patrols operating in Nablus area. One military jeep was burnt, the source said.
The two injured residents remained unidentified.
In a separate incident, several Palestinian youth hurled a Molotov cocktail and stones at the “border fence”, in Beit Liqia area, south west of Ramallah, and attempted to cut the fence.
An Israeli military spokesperson said that the youth hurled a Molotov cocktail at the soldiers after rushing to the “fence” area after noticing the youth; damage was reported, no injuries.
Also, several Molotov cocktails were thrown at an apartment in Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood in northern Jerusalem, Israeli online daily Ynetnews reported. One of the cocktail bottles penetrated the apartment’s kitchen and was extinguished by the residents; two Molotov cocktails did not catch fire.
Soldiers and military police conducted military searches in Shu’fat neighborhood in Jerusalem in Jerusalem after suspecting the youth who hurled the cocktails fled to its direction.
