The Al Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad , reported that one of its fighters was shot and killed, on Thursday evening, by the under-cover units of the Israeli army, in Qabatia town, near the West Bank city of Jenin.
The brigades stated that the Special Forces attacked a private vehicle carrying a group of Islamic Jihad fighters on the main road between Qabatia and Al Zababdeh, and shot killed Yasser Sa’id Kamil, 24.
Kamil, a resident of Qabatia, suffered two live rounds in his chest and back. A medical source at Khalil Suleiman Hospital in Jenin reported that Kamil died after one bullet penetrated his heart.
Meanwhile, the brigades said that its members were on their way to attack an Israeli military force which was conducting training near Jenin.
Also, the brigades held Israel responsible for the recent escalation and vowed fierce retaliation.
