A Palestinian security source in Gaza reported that violent clashes in the eastern area of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza strip, six residents were injured.
 
The residents were injured as members of Hamas clashed with members of Fateh movement and the Popular Resistance Committees.
 
The clashes involved fist-fighting and stone throwing at each other, no usage of arms was reported.
 
The clashes erupted after a Sheikh of one of Khan Younis mosques was preaching the residents and praising Hamas’ victory in the Palestinian Legislative elections.
