A Palestinian medical source in Gaza reported on Monday at night that two fighters of the Al Qassam brigades, the military wing of Hamas, were injured after unknown gunmen opened fire at them.
The source added that one of the fighters is the leader of the brigades in Khan Younis, while the second is his assistant; the two suffered moderate-to-sever wounds.
A local source in Khan Younis reported that unknown gunmen opened fire at the vehicle of the two fighters while driving in Abasan Al Sagheera town in Khan Younis, and sped away.
Sources in Hamas movement identified the injured members as Abu Khaled Anza, one of the leaders of Hamas military wings, and his assistant.
