For the second time this week, a settlers group wrote a graffiti in Hebrew on the Wall a mosque in Nabi Elias village, east of the West Bank city of Qalailia, the Arabs48 news website reported.Muslim worshipers who headed to the mosque for dawn prayers on Friday discovered the graffiti that insulted Islam’s Prophet Mohammad and said “Death to Arabs”.

The worshipers removed the graffiti which defaced the wall of the mosque.

Jalal Fleih, head of the village council, said that some residents of the village saw two armed settlers approaching the mosque at night, one of them guarded the area while the second wrote the graffiti.

Israeli online daily, Haaretz, said that the Israeli army conducted no arrests, and claimed that the soldiers removed the graffiti and filed a complaint to the “Judea and Samaria” district police.

Last Sunday, a similar incident took place in the village, dozens of residents protested against the graffiti and hurled stones at soldiers and settlers vehicles passing near the area.

Four Palestinian residents and one settler woman were injured in the clashes.
