A Palestinian security source in Gaza reported that one youth died of wounds suffered on Friday when an explosive charge, apparently left by the army, went off near Al Boreij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.Medical source in Al Aqsa Hospital reported that Mohammad Kamel Al Atawna, 17, died hours after surgery at the hospital; he suffered sever wounds in his chest and other parts of his body.

The Palestinian Ministry of Interior confirmed that the child was injured when an explosive went off near the border fence between Gaza and Israel.

The ministry added that the explosive was most likely left by the Israeli soldiers.
