In retaliation for the Israeli military escalation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, Al Quds Brigade, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement claimed responsibility on Saturday for launching two home made shells on the Israeli cities of Asqalan (Ashkelon) and Sderot. Israeli military sources confirmed the attacks. No injuries were reported.
Israeli artillery posted on the border line of the northern and eastern of the Gaza Strip resumed shelling of the farmlands and open air areas causing explosion sounds.
Friday evening, an Israeli jetfighter fired at least one missile at a road used by the residents in the northern areas of the Gaza Strip causing a deep crater. No injuries were reported.
